My Grandma Loves
My Grandma loves so many things
I’ve made a list to see
That out of all the things she loves,
What she loves most is me.
My Grandma loves to garden, and grow such wonderful things.
She plants a seed and with her care, it grows into a tree
Filled with peaches, pears or apricots and these she shares with glee.
But even more than gardening, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves to help another, a Samaritan is she.
She got real sick with cancer and saw there was a need
To test some medicine for others, in hope to a cure it would lead.
But even more than helping out, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves to sew and quilt with tiny fabric scraps.
She made a Christmas quilt for me in which I like to wrap
Myself up tight before I sleep as snug as snug can be.
But even more than piecing quilts, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves the lights she sees from her bedroom window each night.
Sometimes I stand beside her, we count each little light.
Those many lights are beautiful, like a thousand little beads.
But even more than sparkling lights, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves to ask me questions so she can hear my voice.
She asks me what I like to do and if I had a choice
Where would I drive in Grandpa’s car, if I the driver be?
But even more than questions asked, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves to read good books and always likes to see
What exciting stories she can find and shares each one with me.
We look at books with pictures as I sit upon her knee.
But even more than books to read, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves warm bubble baths and soaking to get clean.
She can’t soak for very long though, ‘cause she’s a busy bee.
She cooks, and cleans, and decorates. Her home could be on T.V.
But even more than bubble baths, my Grandma really loves me.
My Grandma loves a Man who came to earth long, long ago.
Like Grandma He loved to garden and taught us how to sow
Seeds of faith and kindness to folks we may not know.
The way to truth and happiness the lessons He did show.
Like Grandma’s quilt He can take the pieces and make them become whole.
He is the light to show the way when we are far from home.
He gave us all a special gift to bless in time of need.
When questions come, or things aren’t safe, the spirit’s voice we heed.
His words are written in a book that Grandma reads each night.
He is the way for us to be clean when we don’t choose the right.
Of all the lessons that He taught, the best one has to be,
“When you love your fellow men, you’re really loving me.”

Diana Kay Henderson Miller 1946 ~ 2008 Diana Kay Henderson Miller passed away at her home, surrounded by family on November 17, 2008 after a courageous 12-year battle with breast cancer.Diana was born May 19, 1946 to Carol May Woolsey Henderson and Artie Junior Henderson in Logan, UT. She married the love of her life, Stephen Kent Miller, Sr., son of Orpha and Roy Miller, January 30, 1969. They have six children, Stephanie (Fred) Lewis, Stephen (Heidi) Miller, Heidi (Dwight) Anderson, Nathan (Brittney) Miller, Amy (Thad) Weiland, and Jessica (Justin) Adams. She is survived by her parents, husband, children, sister Myrna, brothers Mark and Matt, and grandchildren: Haleigh, Caleb, Ammon, Aubree, Elise, Tabitha, Brycen, Stephen and Isaac. Diana loved life and learning. She served as a Service Missionary in Oakland, CA for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as in the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary. She was always reaching out to care for those in need. She received the President's Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her commitment to volunteer work. She enjoyed gardening and obtained a Master Gardner Certificate from Utah State University. Diana had a love for the arts including singing and acting. She participated in various productions at Rogers Memorial Theatre in Centerville, UT. The family wishes to express deep appreciation for Dr. Saundra Buys and the staff of Huntsman Cancer Institute as well as the staff at Intermountain Hospice for their expertise and care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at the Centerville Canyon View Stake Center, 2110 North Main, Centerville. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main and Friday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment- Centerville City Cemetery.
